At Inclusion School, therapeutic sports play a crucial role in promoting the well-being of learners.

Therapeutic sports refer to the use of physical activities and sports as a form of therapy to address physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges. These activities are tailored to meet the specific needs of each learner, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to engage in physical exercise and sports. Therapeutic sports at Inclusion School not only focus on improving physical health but also target areas such as emotional regulation, social interaction, and cognitive development. Through these activities, learners are able to build self-confidence, develop social skills, enhance their physical abilities, and improve overall mental well-being. The integration of therapeutic sports within Inclusion School ensures that learners receive holistic support, enabling them to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Alongside engagement we also do 1 to 1 sessions with learners doing sports therapy using exercise and sports to help with any struggles a learner might have. This can include going to the gym, going for a walk or just playing some football within the space at the school. Exercise has many benefits for mental health including managing symptoms of depression and anxiety, improving confidence, improving sleep and connecting with nature.
